I had been thinking about just giving up on the running goal. I walk often and keep busy gardening, but I have been fearful of wogging again. I felt sooooo old after having so many muscle problems. However, at just the right moment I heard about a twice weekly exercise class.

It is mostly a step aerobics class which seems to be great conditioning for running. Also, we do some work with weights and an exercise ball. It is building my confidence. Perfect running partner is also encouraging me to just go for it in terms or running.

It all comes down to the mental process of wrestling with the goal to run a 5K and the reality of training to do that. Do I want to do the work it takes or do I just like the idea of being a runner?  Can I be consistent enough?

I am starting a training/exercise log this week to help me review my progress. Onward!
